The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) introduced an interesting fashion segment, completely catering to men in January 2023 — Menswear Fashion Weekend. Now, the design council is back with its second edition of the Men’s Fashion Week in 2024, and it will be taking place in Aguad Port and Jail Complex, Sinquerim in Goa on 3 and 4 February.
Last year, the FDCI’s first-ever annual ‘Menswear Fashion Weekend’ event witnessed prominent Indian menswear designers, including Abhishek Gupta, Abraham and Thakore, Arjun Khanna, Ashish N Soni, J J Valaya, Manoviraj Khosla, Rajesh Pratap Singh, Rohit Bal, Rohit Gandhi + Rahul Khanna, Shantnu & Nikhil and Varun Bahl.
Speaking about the launch, Sunil Sethi, the head of FDCI says, “FDCI is delighted to present this unique showcasing from amongst our top designers, bringing their expertise of cut, tailoring and finish to the fore. Menswear is growing at an exponential rate and it is the right time to restart the menswear fashion week, to showcase how it has evolved from conventional attire to a more refreshing representation of style.”

What to expect from FDCI Men’s Fashion Week 2024
For the upcoming Men’s Fashion Week, new-age fashion labels and designers like Akshat Bansal’s Bloni, Gaurav Khanijo’s Khanijo and Siddartha Tytler will go all the way into presenting their contemporary designs, curated for modern men.
Meanwhile, seasoned designers Shantnu & Nikhil, JJ Valaya, Rajesh Pratap Singh and Rohit Gandhi + Rahul Khanna are set to introduce the latest Indianwear designs in various colour palettes that will define wedding trends of the year.
