Long Beach Clothing Co. was formed in 2003 by Jay Tilles, a DJ and producer at KROQ-FM, and his wife Brandee, with the simple purpose of working with local artists and vendors to develop and manufacture Long Beach branded gear. Their goal was to encourage residents to take pride in the city they love. The retail business on The Pike immediately became a popular hangout for both locals and visitors.
